Sndekket er generelt smelteomvandlet og vårlig. Stedvis er det mye vann i snøen. Det er generelt lite snø i fjellene vest for Svolvær, mer snø mot øst. Men det er mykje snø i fjella i forhold til vanleg på denne årstida.

Det har blitt observert kantkorndanning i overflata.

No precipitation. Breeze from southeast, changing to fresh breeze from the southeast during the evening. 2 °C to 13 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snødekket ventes å være stort sett stabilt nå. I bratt terreng med våt, løs snø kan en løse ut våte løssnøskred.
Glideskred er uforutsigbare, men kan forekomme der det er forhold for det, for eksempel der underlaget er svaberg eller bratt gressbakke. Unngå terreng under glidesprekker.
